Fabio Imperiale studies as an advertising graphic before changing direction by devoting himself to painting. He trained as a self-taught artist, developing in this way a very personal style and free from infrastructures. Source of inspiration and main subject of most of his works is the female universe. He investigates the most fragile and sensitive side. His figures, intangible, abandon themselves and take refuge in an intimate and secret relationship with their bodies.
He uses delicate shades to act as background to his works, where images and shapes with subtle outlines emerge and overlap. The action of external elements such as rain and salt creates a sense of evanescence that makes the shapes impalpable. His subjects are often mysterious woman bodies, which they barely concede. They are bodies that are never completely revealed: sometimes they grant the profile, sometimes the nape, or they close in a perfect shape.
